Is anyone familiar with a process where an acid product is used in small areas of a car at a time to clean paint? The process as just explained to me, is the acid solution being applied quickly and then neutralized with another product.

This sounds like it has the potential to be harmful. A detailer that is doing a complete job on my car at home later today suggested this process. The guy was highly recommended and has a respected mobile service but I have never heard of this before.

I still have a problem with paint overspray despite my best efforts to remove it.

dont try acid on paint! i have seen it done!!! terrible reprecussions, esspecially if you dont wet the paint area down with water first.

try clay, if that doesnt get it off, then there is no really safe way of getting it off, unless you repaint.

actaully, any corrosive shouldnt be used on paint. there are non-acids that are VERY corrosive! be careful when choosing product if you do this.
